Crema di zucca or pumpkin puree forms the base of this delicious pizza recipe that gets a bit of a kick from spicy nduja sausage and rocket with ricotta balancing the flavors.
The Pumpkin Pizza recipe
What you need
10oz/300g pumpkin, cut into chunks
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp nduja*
3oz/90g ricotta
Handful of rocket
Pinch of salt & pepper
*If you don't have access to Nduja, other spicy sausage will do
Method:
Preheat a cast iron pan over low heat in the Revolve Pizza Oven
Toss the pumpkin with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Cover the pan and cook the pumpkin for 30 minutes, or until soft.
Use a blender to puree the pumpkin until smooth.
Stretch out a dough ball into a pizza dough.
Spread the pumpkin puree over the dough.
Dot the pizza with small pieces of nduja.
Bake the pizza at 450 degrees for 70 seconds, or until the crust is golden brown and remove from the Revolve.
Top the pizza with ricotta and rocket and serve immediately
